This is currently an issue for as we have no way to force texting (similar to the functionality that SK has to force scanning) .
We need a way to track and measure this in bulk by store as we have now a huge dependency on texting and shoppers are skipping this step and manual audits in command center is time consuming
Here’s an idea:
Add a user permission to force texting.
Add a guest texting attribute to the order payload which will indicate if the guest is OK with texting
Do not allow the shopper to finalize (settle with POS) order if the shopper has the user permission set and the guest/customer on the order has the option to allow texting
