Cut Test Enhancement

  • For any cut listed on the cut test, there needs to be a method to set up a “cost group”. If any item in the grouping has a cost change, every item in the group would get the same cost change and all of these items would need to be included in the .cost nightly export file.
  • These costs need to be read from the item record and NOT the vendor item record. The reason for this is that United wants to be able to scan more than one ean 128 barcode into a cut test.  They routinely scan up to 10 box’s which means the cost could be off because each of the box’s of beef could come from a different packer and each of those packers item numbers could have different costs.  If reading the cost from the item record is not do-able, then the cost for all 10 box’s of beef needs to have a calculated averaged cost used as the cost of the primal.
