When a cut test is scheduled, the list of Primals is a list of VendorItems, but no visual of who the vendor is. (top screenshot, top right side).
When a cut template is created the list of primals is shown from the SKU’s. (Bottom section of top screenshot) This should be consistent. Because the Cut test setup does not allow the user to choose the vendor, then it should not display a vendor item…or if it is going to display a vendoritem, then the vendor should be able to be chosen as well. Just looking at the description can be inaccurate.
One option
The cut test primal drop down selection should display the list of items flagged as primals (item.primalItem = 1) . If an item is not flagged as a primal, but it is tied to a Vendoritem and the vendoritem is flagged as a primal (vendoritem.isprimal) then display the tied item in the list as well. Really the condition should not exist where a item is tied to a vendoritem and one is considered a primal and the other is not. If one is flagged the system should automatically flag the other.
Second Option
If Vendor Item is going to be used the vendor should be able to be chosen in both cut template setup and cut test setup. The bottom line is it should be consistent.
How does this get fixed? I have been tasked with showing these processes to HT meat directors and noticed this along the way. I think it should be fixed but know that it is probably not going to be a priority.
